What is Talk Run Card UK?

Talk Run Card UK is a browser-based rehearsal tool for speakers who already have an accepted conference talk and a fixed slot. Enter the slot length, protected Q&A time, section names, and slide cues. After one manual run, record the actual minutes for each section. The card shows where content ran over, how much Q&A remained, and which sections need explicit cuts. The free preview covers planning and first-run evidence. A £29 one-off Stage-Ready Pack adds a repaired second run, a Run 1-to-Run 2 comparison, a phone podium card, a printable lectern card, and two- and five-minute contingency versions for that talk. Talk content and timings stay in the browser; there is no recording, transcription, AI writing, or speaking score. It is not a teleprompter or presentation editor. It is a narrow timing record for rehearsing, repairing, and carrying a fixed-slot talk to the stage.

One talk, three useful states.

  1. 01

    Plan

Name sections, allocate content time, protect Q&A first.

  2. 02

    Run 1 free

Record actual section minutes and preview exact repairs.

  3. 03

    Stage-ready

Apply repair, rehearse Run 2, then carry podium and contingency cards.

01

Why time sections instead of only total duration?

A total time can tell you that a rehearsal missed its slot. Section timings identify where it happened. Compare planned and actual minutes at the same slide cues, then cut named material instead of hoping to speak faster.

Method basis: TEDx organizer rehearsal guidance treats rehearsal and dress rehearsal as core speaker preparation. This product records timing; it does not judge delivery quality.

02

What rehearsal data leaves your browser?

Talk title, section names, slide cues, planned minutes, and actual rehearsal timings remain in local browser storage. The rehearsal flow has no account, recording, transcription, analytics payload, or cloud sync. When commerce launches, checkout will exchange purchase and entitlement data only; talk content and timings stay local.

Design basis: UK Information Commissioner guidance says organisations should limit personal data to what is necessary. Local rehearsal storage keeps product scope smaller; this statement is product design information, not legal advice.
